ABOUT: The Artwork seeks to capture a beautiful ray of light hitting the sea spray/mist of Piha, New Zealand’s most famous surf beach. Scenes from the movie ‘The Piano’ were filmed here.
Piha is situated on the west coast of the North Island, 40 kms from the city of Auckland. This black iron-sand beach has a reputation for challenging surf which rolls in over the Tasman Sea.

Painted with Holcroft Acrylic Paint on premium stretched canvas, finished with Windsor and Newton Gloss varnish for UV protection and longevity. Comes with an authenticity certificate for insurance and valuation purposes.
